The text “On the pleasure of hating” in my opinion is not to be taken seriously mostly because there is a lot of aggressive language,  metaphoric language and personification.

At one point Hazlitt reads the movement of the spider and puts us in its shoes. I believe the spider considers all the things Hazlitt did when he was metaphorically the spider. He made it seem as if the spider was pondering “can i really take on this giant?”But we know he wasn’t.

In this text Hazlitt uses opposition to show us that there is hate and malevolence in everyone he shows us that cannibals can be happy people and get along with everyone despite them being seen as crazy and evil.He then goes on to say that Christians can be very hostile and threatening everyone with burning in hell for all eternity even though they are seen as very peaceful and kind individuals. In the 3rd page he says that “there is a secret affinity, a hankering after, evil in the human mind” and gives an example, he says “children kill flies for sport” however i do not think any of his examples are signs of a hankering  evil, hate or malice the Christians do not hate all people who are not born again Christians and small children in my opinion do not fully understand the depth and severity of hate or malice.

You know when your blamed for something you didn’t do and me being who i am some times that one bad things stays with me throughout the whole day, unfortunately, this reminds me of when someone who had been working with for a long period of time had very badly insulted my feelings now i trusted this person to respect my thoughts and they expected the same however this person didn’t this on multiple occasions and that really hurt me at times but on the one time it really hurt they didn’t show any sign of respect they took what i said and turned it against ME!… ME! like i didn’t know what i said, it was my own opinion it was just ugh and that one argument stayed with me for the whole day. :'( I hate when people spread rumors or tell lies in front of my face, I hate when people misinterpret what I’ve said and turn it on its head so it sounds derogatory, I hate when people underestimate me or my friends and family, I hate when people take advantage of the authority given to them and exploit it so that they get what they want, I hate when people take advantage me or my and family I hate being ignored, I hate when expect unreasonable things from me and get upset at me for not achieving it, I hate when people annoy others on purpose I hate cauliflower, broccoli, and I hate lies or the truth being kept from me as I see it as lying as well. I hate being patronized or made to look stupid/embarrassed, I hate when people try and act like someone there not just for their benefit And finally i most definitely hate when people mock Christianity as a whole as i am from a very christian house hold and it is just very idiotic  to hear the things people say about Christianity and how they to try twist it up. these are just some of the few things i hate.
